The best sub-contractor we have come across: there aren't many like Mutech.

Get down and dirty
Mutech's chosen charity is the National Coal Mining Museum (NCM) based in Overton, near Huddersfield. Taking its corporate social responsibility (CSR) seriously, Mutech has been considering a number of charities to support and has decided on the NCM as mining is close to the hearts of the work it does in intrinsically safe electronics design, development and manufacture.
Originally a working mine called Caphouse Colliery, it ceased coal production in 1985. There is plenty for all ages to see and do but most important is the educational aspect and activities for school children. Sadly funding is being reduced over the next four years and this is where Mutech - as an ABMEC member - hopes to raise the profile and some pounds for the NCM.
Liz Orme, Development Officer for the NCM, met with Mutech's Operations Director to discuss opportunities where awareness could be raised. After the meeting, both went on a tour of the underground mine which is 150 metres beneath the surface and approx 700 metres in a circular tour.
