IIP Gold award
Mutech achieves IIP Gold as a landmark milestone in its 25 years as a trading company and in the last six as a registered Investors In People business. There are approximately 1% of companies at Gold level out of 33,000 UK registered IIP companies, so to reach this standard is remarkable.
In 2005, Mutech was first assessed and in 2008, found to be in "retaining recognition", which was okay but not brilliant and strongly contested by the MD, Colin Cameron. However, with the changes that took place at Board level after that initial assessment, a year later Mutech rallied and was re-assessed more positively.
So much so that when it came to the tri-annual assessment in Sept 2011 and with a new assessor on board, Mutech easily exceeded the minimum units required for Gold status due to the hard work of the team and new intiatives that had been implemented.
"This is a massive achievement for Mutech and a well-deserved one." said Sarah Varney, Operations Director. "IIP is no longer hard work for us, it is more second nature and it just goes to prove that our quality systems are not only highly regarded in our electronics design and manufacture, but also in our people."
Colin Cameron, MD goes on to say "I started Mutech with a University friend more than 25 years ago and I am very proud to have IIP Gold, because investing in good people is the key to Mutech's future."
Well done to all the team!
